Silver City is the twenty-fifth offline mission and the twenty-sixth online mission in Earth Defense Force 2025 and Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair. It's also the first mission that doesn't have a weapon limit on Inferno difficulty in 4.1.
2025: We have confirmed underground tunnel entrances in the city. Giant organisms are coming from them...but there is a Retiarius in the area. It has made a web and is waiting for attackers. It will be difficult but we must destroy the tunnel entrance to save the citizens.
4.1: We have confirmed underground tunnel entrances in the city, from which giant creatures have emerged...but there are also Retiarii in the area lying in wait for anyone encroaching upon 'their' territory. It may be difficult, but we must destroy the tunnel entrances to save the civilians!
HQ starts off with ordering Storm Team to attack the "spider-like insects", not realizing that since they have eight legs they aren't spider-like, but are actual spiders and would be classified as arachnids instead of insects. Whatever they are called, they made a nest in the middle of a construction site which spews spiders with three Retiarius watching over them from their webs. As Storm Team is slowly exterminating them Aurora Situation Report reporter with the bad microphone cuts in to tell that giant sausers are all over the world are dropping giant insects and that is much bigger force than eight years ago. Once the last of the giant arachnids is dead Storm team can home.

Both Versions Edit
Try to get rid of the anthill first. The area it is mostly flat so you can have clear shot at it (you might need to destroy some of the fences first) to destroy it from the distance. The distance would also help you to dodge the Retiarius webs flying towards you.
